Abstract
The researh with active learning strategy application of verbal soccer has been
done to improve students achievement in atomic structure and periodic system
element subject in X class of SMA Al-Huda Pekanbaru. Form of this research is
an experiment research with pretest and posttest design. Data was taken at 24
sept to 15 october 2012. Sample of the research were two classes: Xb as
experiment and Xd as the control class. At the experiment class applied the active
learning strategies of verbal soccer meanwhile in control class applied common
learning strategies. Data analysis technhique used was t-test. Based on final
result obtained t-count is bigger than t-table namely 9,206 bigger than 1,67 so
that it is conluded the application of active learning verbal soccer can improve
the students learning achievement in atomic structure and periodic system
elements subject at class X SMA Al-Huda Pekanabaru.
