Abstract
Based on information from education teacher at Junior High School 03
District History. Downstream Kuantan, that student learning outcomes in subjects
History is still relatively low at only 30% per cent of students achieving grades A
VII class KKM (minimum completeness criteria) is 75, more than that 70% of
student learning outcomes is still below value or not achieve KKM (Complete
Minimal criteria) that has been set. This happens often caused because the
students in the classroom is always sleepy, less eager to learn, ask lazy, less
attention when the teacher explains the lesson, as well as his lack of response
from students.Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to determine the
improvement of student learning outcomes in the subjects of History at Junior
High School 03 class VIIa district. Hilir Regency Kuantan. Kuansing FY
2012/2013 semester using learning model Contextual Teaching and Learning
(CTL). The experiment was conducted on March 4, until 30 April 2013. Number
of students in the study of 27 people (13 male students and 14 female students).
Parameter study is teacher activity, student activity and learning outcomes
(mastery learning absorption and students). The results showed that the average
number of teachers in the first cycle activity was 19.5% with a category (good),
the second cycle increased to 25% with categories (very good). The average
number of students for activities throughout the entire activity in the first cycle
was 483.5% (good), the second cycle increased to 639.5% (very good).
Absorption results in the form of student learning and mastery learning students,
in the first cycle, the first post-test 76.48% (excellent) on the post test II in creased
to 79.90% (excellent) with daily test 79.26% (excellent). While in the second
cycle, post test III 79.81% (excellent) on the post-test IV increased to 88.15%
(excellent) with daily test II 91.67% (excellent). Mastery learning students first
