Abstract
In the process of
children's learning needs conducive circumstances at time of stimulation and
education efforts and motivation according to the needs of children are different
from one another in order to achieve the purpose of effective learning activities.
Child's success in learning is influenced by many things, such as motivation,
because motivation is very meaningful to the act of learning. Based on the results
of observations conducted on children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten children's
learning motivation Syakhsyiatul Ummah is still relatively low this can be seen in
the behavior of children who are less serious to follow the lessons given by the
teacher. This study aimed to determine differences in the provision of verbal and
non-verbal reinforcement to motivate learning children aged 5-6 years in
kindergarten Syakhsyiatul Ummah. The sample used in this study were 30
children consisting of 15 and 15 grouped grouped B1 B2. The data collection
techniques used is by observation. Technical analysis of the data using test Mann-Whitney U-Test with SPSS 17. The result is there is no difference motivation
children aged 5-6 years with reinforcement in the form of verbal and non-verbal.
It can be seen from the analysis of data obtained by the U-test <0.014 Mann-Whitney or <0.05 means can not be the difference between the reinforcement in
the form of verbal and non-verbal learning motivation towards children aged 5-6
years Kindergarten Syakhsyiatul Ummah Siak Hulu district Kampar regency
