Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the influence of creativity of teacher in the
learning process and the learning facilities to the student learning outcomes in the
subject of IPS at grade VIII SMPN 2 Tapung Hilir. The sample were taken by student’s
grade with total of 64 students. The data was obtained through questionaries and
documentation. The data was analyzed by multiple linear regression technique processed
by SPSS version 17 for windows. Results of this study indicated that simultaneous,
creativity of teacher in the learning process (X1) and learning facilities (X2) could
influence student’s learning outcome (Y). The F test, F count > F table is 12.591 > 3.15.
While partially the creativity of teacher in the learning process (X1) and learning
facilities (X2) effected on learning outcomes of students at SMPN 2 Tapung hilir (Y). This
was evidenced by the t test, t creativity 2.419 teachers in the learning process (X1) and
learning facilities 2.702 (X2), and t table by 1.67022. This shows that t count > t table.
Furthermore the value of coefficient of determination (R2) obtained a rate of 0.292 or
29.2%, this means that the independent variable (creativity of teachers and learning
facilities) also affects the learning outcomes for 29.2% while the remaining 70.8% is
influenced by other factors that not explained in this reseach
