Abstract
Research is experimental research that aims to improve student achievement on the subject of redox reactions in class X SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci. The study was conducted because of the many students who have not been actively involved, less vibrant, and students feel bored in participating in learning activities that have an impact on student achievement. The work done to solve this problem is to adopt a strategy of beach ball. Form of research is the pretest-posttest design. Results of t-test statistics indicate tcount> ttable namely 4.75> 1.67 means that the application of learning strategies beach ball can improve student achievement in the subject of redox reactions in class X SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kerinci. Increased student achievement on classroom experiments supported the normalized gain scores (N-Gain) of 0.76 in the high category. Increase student achievement occurs because the beach ball strategy can make students active, vibrant, and create a fun learning environment that increases student achievement.
