GAMBARAN FASILITAS SANITASI DI LINGKUNGAN PELABUHAN SUNGAI DUKU PEKANBARU TAHUN 2013

Abstract

Sanitation on the harbour represent activity to create the condition environment on healthy harbour area, with vision and environment have continuation because the harbour is a public place wich is associated with the onset or spread of a diseases. Poor sanitation contributes to harm people who work or use facilities on the harbour. The method is the descriptive observational on the Sungai Duku Pekanbaru harbour. The variables is clean water, latrine, garbage disposal, handwash and wastewater discharge line facility. The data obtained through field observation, then triangulation to in-depth interviews and document review . The result this is study indicate that most of the water on the Sungai Duku harbour not yet qualified physical quality of water. The sources of clean water that used at Sungai Duku from artesian well using pipe to distribute water. Only 9 of 18 pit latrines are still function. Most of the latrines are not clean categorized by 69% and 31% clean latrines. Wastewater discharge line still far from the criteria good wastewater discharge line. Wastewater is not stream smoothly and often cause stench. Wastewater discharge line are health requirements 38% and non- health requirements 62%. The garbage disposal at Sungai Duku still not health requirements by 38%. All over the handwash did not function and damaged. Concluded is management of environmental sanitation on Sungai Duku harbour not yet according to health standard. It must be done management on harbour sanitation maximally and continue, enforcer of regulation, so that created the condition of health of optimal society.
