dc.description.abstract Based on Curriculum 2006, the standard measure of success is the achievement of a learning process exhaustiveness Minimal criteria set by each school. Talking about mathematics learning outcomes, until now recognized that low. This indicates that there are parts of mathematics that are still considered difficult by students. This fact is derived from the achievement criteria Minimal mastery by students of class V SDN 006 Penarikan, Sub District of Langgam, Pelalawan District, in the even semester of the academic year 2011/2012. Only 60 -65% of students who achieve it. Based on that, do research involving fifth grade students of SDN 006 Penarikans, totaling 20 people, consisting of 9 male students and 11 female students. This study applied the type of cooperative learning Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). Students in the class are heterogeneous in terms of academic and gender. It was conducted in two cycles. The activity and students learning outcomes data were gained by collecting activity data by using observation sheet and daily test. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis that describes the activities of teacher and students, analysis of learning outcomes and succesful measurements. The results of the first cycle found that the percentage of students who achieve mastery Minimum criteria (≥ 65) was 70% and the second cycle was 90%, which increased the percentage of the previous measures only 60%. The conclusion of this study indicate that cooperative learning model model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. en_US
