dc.description.abstract Mathematics as one of the basic science, today has evolved along with the development of science and technology. Accordingly, the increase in Human Resources (HR) must be a concern that advances in technology can be utilized wisely by humans. But from the facts, especially in math in class IVb SDN 006 Penarikan, Sub District of Langgam, Pelalawan District, in the even semester of the academic year 2011/2012 still not be subject preferred and liked by the students. The low achievement of mastery Minimum criteria established schools shows that there are still many students who have not succeeded in learning activities. Accordingly, conducted a study to improve student learning outcomes in class IVb SDN 006 Penarikan using cooperative learning type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD). This Research was conducted involving 22 students consisting of 10 men and 12 women, conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 sessions and 1 time daily tests. Instrument in this research consisted of the study and data collection instruments. The device consists of Syllabus learning, Lesson Plans, and the Student Worksheet. Data collection instruments consisted of the tests and observation sheets. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis that describes the activities of teacher and students, analysis of learning outcomes and succesful measurements. The results of the first cycle found that the percentage of students who achieve mastery Minimum criteria (≥ 65) was 86.36% and the second cycle was 95.45%, which increased the percentage of the previous measures only 4 5.45%. The conclusion of this study indicate that cooperative learning model model type Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes. en_US
