Abstract
The clasroom action research aimed at improving mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the structural approach to cooperative learning model Think Pair Square (TPS) grade IV SD Negeri 036 Serusa Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir semester academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter fractions. The subjects were students of class IV SD Negeri 036 Serusa Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir semester academic year 2011/2012 as many as 20 students consisting of 13 boys and 7 girls. This research was conducted in the fourth grade SD Negeri 036 Serusa Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir the second semester of the school year 2011/2012. The form of this research is a form of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Implementation of cooperative learning approach to structural Think Pair Square performed with 8 sessions is 6 sessions presenting the material and 2 meetings. The results showed an increase in the number of students as much thoroughness 3 students and improve achievement KKM 15% of the score of the base to cycle I. Further, of the cycle I and cycle II the number of students increased by 6 students and increase achievement KKM 30% can be concluded that the implementation of the structural approach to cooperative learning model to improve the Think Pair Square students' fourth grade SD Negeri 036 Serusa school year 2011/2012 the subject matter fractions.
