Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the picture implementation of toilet training in children with autism. The design of the research is restropektif description, which simply describes the implementation of toilet training in young children with autism at the age of 1 year 6 months to 5 years of age. The research do in the in four schools Children with Special Needs (ABK) Pekanbaru, with sample as 41 respondents. The research uses questionnaire, the questionnaire thad been tested validity and reliability. The research uses Univariate analysis. The results showed strategies implementation to determine the achievement of children toilet training to perform at this time. Based on the results of the study, 59% of parents do not have a toileting schedule, as much as 71% of parents give positive and negative reinforcement when children toileting. Achievement of 63% obtained the child is able to withstand BAK, 80% of children are able to express the desire of bowel and bladder, 54% of children are able to own chapter to the toilet and 63% of children still wearing diapers. The results of this study recommend ABK School for educating parents about tips toilet training implementation strategy in accordance with the characteristics of children with autism in order to achieve the maximum outcome toilet training.
