Abstract
Nowadays, to face the hard competition in teaching learning world,
SMAN 1 Kampar Kabupaten Kampar, tries to increase the school quality by
increasing teacher’s capability by observing teachers capability factors. As,
teacher’s work motivation, teacher’s education level, and discipline. The general
objective of this research is to find out a factor that influence to teacher
capability in SMAN 1 Kampar.Some factors in this research areteacher’s work
motivation, teacher’s education level, and discipline. The populations of this
research are all 73 teachers in SMAN 1 Kampar. Based on that populations, the
researcher decide purposive sampling, choosing sample based on criteria, as the
method. Based on sample choosing criteria, so, there are 52 teachers who
become the sample.The technique of collecting data is by field research. To
collect the data, the researcher use questioner. There are 52 of SMAN 1
KAMPAR teachers who become the sample. The data in this research is
analysed by multiple linear regression analysis withSPSS16.0 version. The
research finding can be found simultaneously asteacher’ work motivation (X1),
teacher’s education level (X2) and discipline (X3) significantly influence the
teacher’s capability (Y) (Fhitung 3.158 > Ftabel 2.798). Whereas, only teacher’s
work motivation (X1) and discipline (X3) that significantly influence teacher’s
capability (Y) partially. So, to increase teacher capability at SMAN 1 Kampar,
the headmaster of SMAN 1 Kampar must motivates the teachers and increases
discipline in SMAN 1 Kampar, because teacher’s work motivation and
discipline can increase teacher’s capability. And, it needs to pay attention to
everything that related to education level, as teacher competency and ability in
teaching, for the better of teacher capability at SMAN 1 KAMPAR.
