ABSTRACT
Immunization is the process induction of the immunity to form a defense againt
disease. BCG immunization is to confer protecting tuberculosis. This cross-sectional
study aims to analyze relation between knowledge level of mother and BCG
immunization at Sungai Perak Tembilahan. A sample of 57 mothers who have
children under 5 years old. Survey data were obtained by a questionnaire. Result
showed that mother who gives the BCG immunization with good knowledge is
(35,3%) , good enough knowledge is (58,82%), bad knowledge is (5,88%) and the
mother didn’t give the BCG immunization with good knowledge is (16,67%), good
enough knowledge is (66,66) and bad knowledge is (16,67). Based on Kolmogorov-
Smirnov Z test statistic, there was no significant relation between knowledge level of
mother and BCG immunization at Sungai Perak Tembilahan (p=0.992).
