Abstract
ABSTRACT
This paper describes the role of Islamic movement “Muslim Brotherhood” to
establish a new foreign policy post Egyptian revolution 2011. It stressed to the influences of
MB’s Islamic sunni ideology to construct the president’s view as decision maker for the
creation of the new pattern of new Egypt’s foreign policy post Mubarak regime until last of
2012. The roles that played by Morsi as Egyptian president from MB organization, will be
assumed as an organization roles. The research question in this research is “How are the
roles of the Muslim Brotherhood to construct egypt’s foreign policy post revolution?”.The
research uses qualitative methods, and uses case study as a strategy in this research. In this
research, the datas is collected by library research techniques where this techniques is
collecting data sourced from the literature, like books, websites, official publications,
newspaper, and journal. This research is used Mohtar Mas’oed’s role theory to describe the
role of MB movement with constructivist approach. And to show how this role work in
Egyptian foreign policy will explain with William D. Coplin’s determinant of foreign policy
theory.This paper shows that the MB played a major role in constructing Egyptian foreign
policy. IM ideology succeeds in forming a new pattern of Egyptian foreign policy. The New
pattern is successfully explained by the determination of foreign policy Coplin, that Egypt
strengthen ties with affiliation circles (Arab, Africa, and Islam) and seeks to reduce
dependence on the U.S.
