PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA PADA PELAJARAN SEJARAH DI SMA NEGERI DHARMA PENDIDIKAN KEMPAS KABUPATEN INDRAGIRI HILIR Siti Mutiah Marwoto Saiman Kamaruddin Email : tianaragunawan@gmail.com/Hp. 082391705064 ABSTRACT The study was conducted against the background of many students who have low motivation in learning so that they are not completely absorb the lessons given by the teacher. This is evident from the number of students who are lazy to study, students in and out of the classroom and do not listen to the presentation / delivery of learning material by teachers. This study aims to determine the students' motivation to learn through inquiry method of learning strategies on learning social studies class XI student of SMAN IPS.2 Dharma Education, research was conducted on 40 students. Data were collected through observation well data for teachers, student activity and student motivation for 6 sessions and with different materials. The results showed that the average student activity cycle of 66.5%, while in the second cycle of 84.5%, meaning an increase of 18%. Motivation to learn in the first cycle of 55.4%, while in the second cycle of 78.6%, meaning an increase of 23.2%. Activities teachers from cycle I to cycle II increased. Thus the inquiry method of learning strategies can enhance student activity and motivation to learn.
