dc.description.abstract PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SIKLUS BELAJAR (LEARNING CYCLE) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN SIKAP ILMIAH SISWA KELAS VII5 SMP KARTIKA 1-5 PEKANBARU TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012 Morli Indah1), Yuslim Fauziah2), Evi Suryawati2) 1) Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, e-mail: indahnya.morli@gmail.com 2) Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Riau ABSTRACT Have done Classroom Action Research (CAR), which aims to improve motivation and scientific attitude of students in SMP Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru with application of the learning cycle. The research was conducted on 27 March 2012 to 30 April 2012. The subject in this study were 37 students class VII5 of SMP Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru. The parameters in this study are motivation and scientific attitude. The indicators of motivation are challenge, curiosity, participation and controls. The indicators of scientific attitude are responsibility, curiosity, cooperation, honesty and discipline. Average score of the students motivation before the application of the learning cycle is 2,66 (low category) increased in the first cycle to 3,39 (enough category) with an increasing percentage of 27,50%, and increased again in the second cycle to be 3,68 (enough category) with an increase percentage of 8,63%. Average scores of student’s scientific attitude from questionnaire before application learning cycle is 67,78% (enough category), increased in the first cycle to 73,08% (good category) with an increasing percentage of 7,81%, and increased again in second cycle to be 80,04% (good category) with an increasing percentage of 8,69%. Average score of the student’s scientific attitude from observation in the first cycle is 63,03% (enough category) increased in second cycle to be 74,76% (good category). From these results it can be concluded that application of the learning cycle can improve learning motivation and scientific attitudes of students in junior high school class VII5 Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru academic year 2011/2012. en_US
