Abstract
Mangroves are one of the main supporting ecosystems in supporting coastal and
marine life. This study aimed to determine the effect of environmental factors on
mangrove diversity in the Ecotourism area of Bandar Bakau Dumai. The method used
is the survey method. Determination of the plot was carried out by purposive sampling
with a plot size of 10 m x 10 m for observation of trees and 5 m x 5 m for observation
of sapling. This study found eight species from 5 families with a total of 296 individuals.
The data taken include mangrove species as well as secondary data (land topography,
salinity, pH and rainfall). This study showed that environmental factors affected the
diversity of mangroves at the research site.
