ABSTRACT
This study aims to improve learning outcomes in teaching and learning process at SMPN 13 Pekanbaru by implementing cooperative learning model of Think Pair Square in mathematics lesson. Forms of research is collaborative action research. This study was conducted in two cycles. Research procedures were carried out in a class action including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The result of this study show once applied cooperative learning TPS increase student participation in the classroom resulted in increased student learning outcomes in math class VII-1 SMPN 13 Pekanbaru. Based on these result, we can conclude the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Square can improve students mathematics learning outcomes.
