Abstract:
Science learning in V class of SDN 09 West Minas Kec Minas still conventionally
packaged. More teacher lecturing so students become passive activity. Researchers to
observe the presentation of learning science through the application of direct instructional
model to improve student learning outcomes. This study aimed to describe the effect of
direct application of learning models in science teaching on learning outcomes of students
in class V SDN 09 West Minas Kec Minas. Subjects in the study are 25 students with
details of 10 male students and 15 female students, held in March until the month of May
in the academic year 2012/2013. While the implementation of the primary school set in 09
western Minas Kec Minas. Classroom action research conducted in two cycles, the first
cycle consisted of three sessions and 1 times daily tests. In the second cycle consisted of
two meetings and one-time daily tests. Action research in order to succeed, the researchers
set the stage action planning, action, observation. Based on the research results, it could
be concluded the average individual student learning outcomes at the beginning of the
data 60, the first cycle of 73.4, the cycle was 83.2. Before the action categorized by low
thoroughness classical percentage reaches 56%, after conducting research on the learning
outcomes of the first cycle to 72% category and declared both incomplete, while in the
second cycle classical completeness reaches 96% category very well otherwise completed.
This means that all students have reached a predetermined minimum KKM 70 and has
reached 80% classical completeness. In the first cycle, the percentage of teachers'
activities 55% first meeting, the second meeting of the percentage value of 70%, in the
third meeting of the percentage of the value of teacher activity reached 80% and the
second cycle activity with the teacher at the first meeting of the percentage value of 90%,
in the second meeting with the percentage value 95. In the activity students get 50% (or
less), meetings 2 activity students get 61% (enough), meeting 72% 3 student activity either
category and the first meeting of the second cycle activity students get 80% (good), gained
the second meeting value of 94% (good), the second cycle Based on the above shows that
the application of direct instructional model can increase the learning result of science’s
students in V class of SDN 09 western Minas Kec. Minas.
