Abstract:
This study aims to improve learning outcomes through the application of mathematical models of type STAD cooperative learning in class of III SD Negeri 024 Bagan Barat Kecamatan Bangko Rokan Hilir semester academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter of a flat wake. Forms of research is a class act. The research was conducted in the Class of III Elementary SD Negeri 024 Bagan Barat Kecamatan Bangko Rokan Hilir. When the study was conducted in the second semester of the school year 2011/2012 in April to June. The subjects were students of class of III SD Negeri 024 Bagan Barat Kecamatan Bangko Rokan Hilir totaling 43 people, including 20 men and 23 women. This study was conducted in two cycles consisting of the first cycle and second cycle each of the three meetings and one-time daily tests. The results showed that with the use of type STAD cooperative learning model to improve student learning outcomes, it is shown in the number of students who achieve mastery criteria Minumum 62 on the basis of scores of 15 students (34.89%), increased in the first cycle to 26 students (60.95%) and increased again in the second cycle to 30 students (68.26%). implementation type STAD cooperative learning can improve student learning outcomes math class of III SD Negeri 024 Bagan Barat subject matter wake up flat on the second semester of academic year 2011/2012.
