dc.description.abstract The research was conducted Arifin Achmad in hospital Pekanbaru in order to examine whether emotional intelligence and motivation partially and simultaneously affect the performance of nurses in Arifin Ahmad hospital Pekanbaru. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Where is the technique of data collection was conducted by questionnaire and documentation. Sources of information in this study is Arifin Achmad Hospital nurse who numbered as many as 586 nurses, then just sampled as many as 85 nurses. The sampling method is done by purposive random sampling is a sampling technique in which an individual can be sampled if the individual is already memenuihi necessary conditions. The data analysis used multiple linear regression method and hypothesis testing performed by the F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). The research and discussion, it can be concluded that the performance of nurses hospitals Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru on the terms of the results of the responses is quite good, and for variable labor conflict and job stress is low. Emotional intelligence nurse at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru based on the results of this study can be said to have been good, and so does the motivation to work. There is a significant effect simultaneously (concurrently) between emotional intelligence and motivation on the performance of hospital nurses Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru which is evident from the results of the F test significant at 95% confidence level. Partially only motivation variable that significantly influence the performance of hospital nurses Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru whereas no effect of emotional intelligence variables exhibited significantly partially on performance, as is evident from the results of the t test significant at 95% confidence level. Variables of emotional intelligence and motivation on the performance of Arifin Achmad hospital Pekanbaru is quite high, which is evident from the coefficient of determination (R2) were obtained for 71.9%, and only 28.1% is determined by other factors outside the model There is a strong positive correlation of variables and emotional intelligence motivation with performance Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru Hospital nurse, who illustrated the correlation coefficient (R) which amounted to 84.8%. en_US
