Abstract:
This article discusses how determine the reorder point in the EOQ model for which
there are defective items. Inspection is carried out to distinguish defective goods
from good goods. Then the defective goods are sold cheaper in one batch and it is
assumed that the probability density function is uniformly distributed. The EOQ
model used, namely maximizing total profits, after obtaining maximum profits can
be determined optimal inventory. After the optimal inventory can be determined,
the reorder point can be determined by determining the existing cases, that is, orders
are made when the inspection is complete where the waiting time is less than per
cycle or the waiting time is greater than per cycle and or orders are made when the
inspection has not been completed where the waiting time is less than per cycle or
the waiting time is greater than per cycle. After determining the case can account
for requests during a known and constant waiting time. Thus obtained the right
time to place an order again. This is a review of the Nobil et al.’s article [Ain Shams
