Abstract
The study is titled "The Effect of Group Guidance Achievement Motivation
Against Students Who Have Low Ranked Top Ten in SMP 13 Pekanbaru". The
purpose of this study is: 1) To reveal the achievement motivation of students who
rank lowest ten prior guidance given group. 2) To reveal the achievement
motivation of students who have the lowest ranking following ten given group
counseling. 3) To determine differences in achievement motivation of students
who rank lowest ten before and after group counseling. 4) To determine the
influence of group counseling on achievement motivation of students who have
the lowest ten ranking. Hypothesis: there are significant achievement motivation
and group counseling to students who rank lowest ten. The method used was
experimental pattern Quasi One group: One group pre-test and post-test design.
To differentiate student achievement motivation after done before with the
guidance of a group to use test "t". Of test calculations "t" obtained t greater than t
table (4.42> 2.042) at the 5% level. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which
means that there is a difference before and after the counseling group. Then from
the calculation of the determinant coefficient r2 = 0.21. Thus it can be seen the
influence of group counseling services to the students' achievement motivation
that has the lowest ten ranking is 21%. It can be concluded after the guidance
given group of students achievement motivation has increased ten ranking lowest.
